Privacy Policy
How this website handles personal information.
This policy reflects the website's enquiry form, security controls, email delivery and optional analytics.
1. Scope and controller
株式会社BKU ("BKU", "we", "us" or "our") is the controller of personal information handled through this English corporate website at en.bku1.com. This policy applies to website visits, analytics choices and enquiries submitted through the website or sent to the contact address shown above.
Workforce placements, participant research, AI evaluation and speech-data projects may require additional notices, consent records or contractual terms. Those project-specific documents supplement this website policy.
2. Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, including your name, company, work email address, country, enquiry topic and message. For AI enquiries, this may also include target languages and engagement type. We also keep related correspondence and the actions needed to respond.
When the site or form is used, our systems and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, request time, browser and device information, referrer, requested pages and abuse-prevention signals. If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics may process cookie or device identifiers and information about pages, referrals and site events.
Please do not send passports, government identifiers, medical information, payment-card data or other sensitive personal information through the public enquiry form unless BKU has specifically requested it through an appropriate secure channel.
3. Purposes of use
We use personal information to receive, authenticate, route and respond to enquiries; understand requirements and prepare requested discussions or proposals; maintain business correspondence; operate and improve the website; measure aggregate website usage where analytics consent has been given; prevent spam, fraud and misuse; protect our systems and users; and comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information. We will not use enquiry information for unrelated advertising without providing an appropriate notice or obtaining consent where required.
4. Legal handling
We handle personal information in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and other laws that apply to the relevant processing. We identify and communicate purposes of use, use information within those purposes, and obtain consent where the law requires it.
Where another applicable law requires a specific legal basis, processing will generally be based on steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with law, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting a business website, or consent for optional analytics.
5. Cookies and analytics
The site uses a first-party cookie named bku_analytics to remember an analytics choice for up to one year. Google Analytics is loaded only after the visitor selects “Accept”. Selecting “Decline” keeps optional analytics disabled. The contact form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile and related strictly necessary security technology to distinguish legitimate submissions from abuse.
You can withdraw an analytics choice by deleting the bku_analytics cookie in your browser and choosing again on your next visit. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, although doing so may affect form security or other site functions.
6. Service providers, disclosure and international processing
We use service providers only as needed to operate this website. These may include Cloudflare for hosting, traffic security and Turnstile verification; Resend for delivery of enquiry and confirmation emails; and Google Analytics for optional usage measurement. They may process information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate.
We require service providers to handle information for the contracted purpose and apply appropriate protections. Where APPI or another applicable law requires information, consent or safeguards for an overseas transfer, we will take the required steps before that transfer.
We do not disclose personal data to other third parties except with the individual's consent; when required or permitted by law; when necessary to protect life, health, property or important rights; in connection with a corporate reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards; or to a supervised service provider acting on our instructions.
7. Retention
Website enquiries and related correspondence are normally retained for up to three years after the last substantive interaction, unless a contract, legal obligation, dispute or ongoing business need requires a different period. Website security records are normally retained for up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident. Optional Google Analytics event data will be configured for retention of up to 14 months. The analytics-choice cookie expires after one year.
When information is no longer required, we delete it, anonymise it or place it beyond normal use in accordance with our deletion procedures and technical constraints.
8. Security
We take reasonable organisational, personnel, physical and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information. These include limiting access, managing service providers, protecting transmission and storage, maintaining security headers, verifying form submissions, applying rate controls, and reviewing suspected incidents. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your requests and complaints
Subject to applicable law, you may request notice of purpose, disclosure of retained personal data or third-party provision records, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure or suspension of third-party provision. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
Send requests or complaints to info@bku1.com. Please identify the relevant interaction and the request you are making. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity and authority before responding. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the applicable reason where required.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be shown on this page. If a change materially affects how previously collected personal information is used, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
